 SOCIAL NETWORKS


Nowadays, Social networks had take an important place in the world. For example there are 20 millions of french who are using social networks so we can say there is 1 of 3 persons who have a social networking site like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, ect.


On one hand, we can say people use social networks for the advantages of the site. For teenagers, having a social networking site is a good thing because we can meet new people. It augments the real life relationship and for a teenager who is shy in the real life it can be easier to meet people. We can also keep in touch with family members or friends who are living far away. But users should be careful with the way they use it because there are many dangers.
 
So on other hand, social networks can be dangerous for users. In first, there are dangers like cyber harassment : people can threaten or insult a simple user. On second, there is the cyber addiction.


A mother said that his son was always in his computer, he stay all the time on his social networks sites. During the dinner he eat very quickly to go on his computer and to conclude they didn't have any communication. She said that she was very worried about his son.






There is also people who have bad intentions like pedophiles or thief. They go on social networks and talk to teenagers as friend and ask them personal informations. They can also steal the identity of another person.












Users don't really careful about what they post on social networks. When you are young, you make mistakes and you do stupid stuff so you can post compromising pictures who haunted you in later life. Having fun on social networks can be a problem when you apply for a job because employers are looking for if you are a serious person for the job and if they find compromisong informations, that could cost you your job.


On a question-and-answer session, Barack Obama said that he wanted everybody here to be careful about what they post on Facebook and others social networks. All of the users should ask themself about what they post on social networks. They should secure their social networking sites and they have to take care of persons who want be friends with them.

Use the social networks but use them with care.
